Users want to send an email template from the workorder (inspection/job) screen, the same way they do in their current platform. They need to pick a template, choose recipients, and send it so the email is filled with that job’s details (address, date, contacts, links, etc.) using template variables. Today they can only retry failed action-flow emails or add flows; they cannot manually trigger a specific template from the job. Delivering this would match the workflow many teams already use and reduce switching to other tools or copying links and details by hand.
Why it matters: Letting staff send templated, job-context emails from the workorder keeps communication in one place and makes it faster to follow up with clients and partners.
Summary: Need a way to send an email template manually—either a template not tied to an action flow, or a one-off send of a template from the work order/activity context. Different from “manually send action activity” (already in Linear).
Agreed Solution: Add ability to send a one-off email from the activity screen (e.g. from a dropdown: Note, SMS, Email → select template) so users can send any template without it being part of a flow. Also support resending failed or one-off action emails.
